Assistant Studio Tech Position

We are seeking a qualified candidate to join our team at our busy little studio. This person’s main role will be to assist with the clay reclaim system and management of studio cleanliness and organization. No previous ceramic experience required. This is a work-trade position.

Responsibilities:

  • Arrive on time and display a mature attitude

  • Maintain an orderly, creative, relaxed and safe environment for members

  • Manage clay recycling system and work with other studio techs to maintain an efficient system

  • Use POS system to sell retail items, tools and materials

  • Answer the phone and take messages

  • Mop floors and wipe down tables

  • Greet customers and provide information about classes and memberships

  • Answer basic member and student questions about the ceramic process

  • Assist in basic studio cleanliness and organization such as cleaning communal tools and dating pots

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years or older

  • Mature, positive and customer care-oriented attitude

  • Attention to details

  • Punctual and reliable

  • Ability to stay calm, organized, and communicate with students and staff regularly

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

  • Ideal candidate lives in the area

Compensation: Ideal candidate is interested in a work- trade position. We are offering either an open studio membership or enrollment in a course in exchange for hours worked. 

Working hours: Monday:1pm-4pm, Tuesday: 10am-5pm, & Saturday: 10am-3pm
